Adult Forum
The mission of St. Andrew’s Adult Forum is to provide thoughtful, spiritual education for Christian living grounded in the Episcopal Church’s devotional, theological and literary traditions.
Our programs for 2010-2011 begin with a talk in early December by Pamela M. Eisenbaum, PhD, Associate Professor of Biblical Studies and Christian Origins, Iliff School of Theology, on her recent book, Paul was not a Christian. We also offer Advent and Lenten Quiet Days and a series we call Episcopal 101 in January and February for those wishing to know more about the Episcopal Church.
Beginning in Advent, there will be a Lectionary Discussion Group meeting every Sunday between services from 10:20 to 10:50 where we can focus on the lessons of the day. We look forward to another year of offering thoughtful educational programs for spiritual growth at St. Andrew’s.

Education for Ministry (EfM)
Together with the Church of the Holy Redeemer, St. Andrew’s currently hosts one EfM group, which meets Thursday evenings after Evensong. In 2010, participants in the group are in their second or fourth year of the (four-year) curriculum. In 2011, participants will be in their first or third year of the curriculum. For more information about EfM at St. Andrew’s, please contact the co-mentors through the Parish Office.
EfM is a distance learning theological education program of the School of Theology of the University of the South in Sewanee, Tennessee. EfM is for the laity of the church. Completion of the program takes four years, during which participants study the Bible, church history, and twentieth century theology. Participants commit one year at a time. The purpose of EfM is to teach one how to think theologically, deepen one’s faith and one’s understanding of our Christian heritage, and provide one with a new confidence to be Christ’s minister. For more information about EfM, see http://www.sewanee.edu/EFM/index.htm
