Outreach Ministry
The Outreach Ministry has an intentional focus on action coupled with prayer. Our goals include engaging the congregation in addressing the needs of the marginalized through hands-on activities, ongoing and current outreach opportunities, and information; informing the congregation about issues of justice, peace and economic conditions; and supporting and raising the congregation’s awareness of local and international needs and the ministries serving them.
Guidance & Inspiration:
The words and example of Jesus Christ
Discernment through prayer
The promises and commitments made and renewed via our Baptismal Covenant, in particular to “strive for justice and peace among all people, and respect the dignity of every human being”
Our Anglo-Catholic tradition calling us to radical mission to the poor
The eight United Nations Millennium Development Goals, which range from halving extreme poverty to halting the spread of HIV/AIDS and providing universal primary education, all by the target date of 2015
