God Blesses What We Bring - and - Makes it Abudant
Wrapping up our 2017 Pledge Drive: God takes what we bring--and makes it abundant
Thank you to everyone who has participated in our annual pledge drive by sharing their gratitude and their hopes for the future, and committing their gifts to our ministries at St. Andrew's. The "trees of life" in the Undercroft are a colorful reminder of what we can all do together.
Now it's time to commit not only gifts of time and talent, but also treasure as well. If you haven't already done so, please make your pledge for 2018. You can do this by:
- Bringing your pledge card to church on Sunday and dropping it in the offering plate
- mailing your pledge card to church
- e-mailing Jeff (firstname.lastname@example.org)
Check back on this page weekly as we share the stories of our members. Here are a few so far:
Every fall we have the opportunity to reflect as a community on how, as members of the body of Christ, we will each commit our time, talent and treasure to support God’s work in the world through our ministries here at St. Andrew’s. An important facet of this decision is considering how we will share our financial resources—our treasure—as we engage in a process of listening, conversation, reflection, prayer, and, finally, making a financial pledge to be fulfilled in 2018.
This year, we are building on themes from previous years highlighting our sense of abundance, gratitude, and generosity. We’ll be inviting everyone in the parish to consider two well-known and loved Biblical stories that demonstrate how God takes what we bring—however modest, inadequate-seeming, or mundane—blesses it, and makes it abundant.
Please join in this spiritual adventure, beginning Sunday, October 15, at 9:00 a.m., 11:00 a.m. and 5:30 p.m.
