Celebrating Black History Month:
With patient and firm determination we will press on until every valley of despair is exalted to new peaks of hope, until every mountain of pride and irrationality is made low by the levelling process of humility and compassion; until the rough places of injustice are transformed into a smooth plane of equality of opportunity; and until the crooked places of prejudice are transformed by the straightening process of bright-eyed wisdom.
The whirlwinds of revolt will continue to shake the foundations of our nation until the bright day of justice emerges.
I have a dream that one day this nation will rise up and live out the true meaning of its creed: ‘We hold these truths to be self-evident, that all men are created equal.
― Dr. Martin Luther King, Jr.
* Tools for Advocacy
Tonight February 18, 6:45 – 8:45 pm
Rev. Tamara Boynton, Interfaith Alliance’s Director of Strategic Engagement, will show us how we can structure ourselves to make engagement easy, timely, and effective. A decision-making discussion will follow.
We encourage you to come, to learn about the issues, and to make your voice heard as we determine how we will focus our efforts for systemic change. See how you can join the force for social justice as advocacy is embraced as a fundamental part of St. Andrew’s mission to seek the renewal of the world.
