St. Andrew’s 2023 Pride Events

Help St. Andrew’s Episcopal Church celebrate the 52nd annual Pride month this June. We are involved in several events, including a fundraiser for the Trevor Project and marching with Bishop Kym Lucas (the Episcopal Church in Colorado), Bishop Jim Gonia (Rocky Mountain Synod ELCA) and Bishop Karen Oliveto (Mountain Sky Conference, United Methodist Church) in the Denver Pride Parade on June 25th. Signs ups and more information below.
AND... The neighborhood Task Force is printing a limited number of St. Andrew’s Pride T-shirts. You can reserve yours by emailing Katie Schmidt at kschmidtarts@gmail.com. There is a suggested $25 donation for each shirt.
June 10th, 8am – Trevor Project Bike / Walk Fundraiser
Join your intrepid youth minister for a bike / walk event at the Rocky Mountain Arsenal National Wildlife Refuge, raising money for the Trevor Project, a non-profit organization that provides counseling and suicide prevention services to LGBTQIA+ youth. In these time of increasingly hostile rhetoric and legislation, this organization is quite literally saving young peoples’ lives! All are welcome to join us for this event, not just children and youth. A word doc with the full event details (including directions to the location) can be found by clicking HERE. If you can’t join us, but you’d like to donate, click HERE. And if you’d like to join us on the 10th, use the form below:
June 24th / 25th – Prep Day and Denver Pride Parade!
Join us at the church on Saturday, June 24th to get ready for the Pride Parade (happening the next day). We’ll gather to make signs for the March, have food, play games, and enjoy fellowship. We’ll also talk about what our church community can do AFTER the Pride Parade has come to a close to continue the vital work of advocacy, activism and upholding our Gospel mandate to celebrate ALL of God’s Beloved Children.
And then on Sunday, June 25th, you are invited to join us for the Denver Pride Parade. We’ll be marching along with our Bishop, Kym Lucas, Bishops from the ELCA and United Methodist churches, and fellow parishioners from across Colorado. Sign up for both days (or just one) below:
