Safe Church Information Page

Safe Church, Safe Communities

The Episcopal Safe Church training is designed to keep all members of Christ’s family safe, particularly those most vulnerable. All parishioners are highly encouraged to complete Safe Church training every 3 years. If you are a ministry member, a staff member, or a keyholder, you are required to maintain Safe Church training according to the rules and regulations of the Episcopal Church in Colorado. Our Safe Church Supervisor is Scott Coulter. If you have questions about Safe Church training or policy or encounter a situation or behavior that you feel may violate the safety and wellbeing of anyone in our church, he can be reached by clicking here.

The easiest and fastest way to complete your Safe Church training is to complete the online training. A step-by-step guide for completing your online training is found below. A PDF version of this guide can be downloaded for your reference by clicking here (paper copies of this guide are available at the church, as well). To be taken to the Colorado Episcopal Church Safe Church website, click here. And again, if you have any questions about how to complete your Safe Church training, email Scott Coulter.

Safe Church guidelines are also at the heart of the Colorado Episcopal Church’s official policies for the protection of children and youth, and the policies for the protection of vulnerable adults. It is very helpful to familiarize yourself with these policies. Both of these documents are available for review and download. To download the policy for the protection of children and youth, click here. To download the policy for the protection of vulnerable adults, click here.
