Become A Member

Membership status should never be a barrier to belonging here. Our church community is open and accepting to all. We believe that the strength of our congregation lies in the diverse backgrounds and experiences of its members.

If you are not yet ready to become a member but wish to participate, you are encouraged to attend our services, join in our events, and engage with our community. We have a variety of activities, programs, and ministries that provide opportunities for spiritual growth, learning, and fellowship. However, when the time is right for you, we offer several ways to begin the process of becoming a member. Our friendly staff and clergy are happy to guide you through the steps involved in joining our community.

Remember, membership is not a requirement to belong here. We believe that belonging happens when you feel connected, supported, and valued within our church family. So, take your time, explore our community, and when you're ready, we'll be here to welcome you with open arms.

There are a few ways to become a member at St. Andrew’s

  • TRANSFERRING from another Episcopal Church

If you are transferring to St. Andrew’s from another Episcopal church, simply request a letter of transfer from your former parish. For questions regarding a transfer, contact our office.

  • JOINING the Episcopal Church

If you are transferring from a denomination other than the Episcopal Church, or if you have not been a member of any church, we encourage you to enroll in our Catechumenate program. Contact the office to learn more.

 What is The Catechumenate?

Following an ancient practice, the Episcopal Church prepares people for Baptism, Confirmation, Reaffirmation of Faith, or Reception from Orthodox or Roman Catholic Churches. We do this with a nine-month weekly gathering on Thursday evenings. This community of prayer, learning, and fellowship is characterized by open discussion and honest questions, brief teachings, and interactive table talk. Childcare is provided.
